The new interest in Inter-American relationships is caused by processes of globalization and transnational migration, which transform cultural identities and challenge conceptions of “self” and “other.” Especially in Europe, which itself is in the midst of negotiating a “European identity” in addition to national and regional ones, changing reference points demand a re-conceptualization of academic perspectives, and that is achieved through the activities carried out jointly within the CIII-AT-0503-03-1314 CEEPUS Network.

One of them is the Seggau Summer School organized by the Centre of Inter-American Studies of Karl Franzens University of Graz, Austria.
