A graduate from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, became a tenured member of the English Department in 2007. Teaches cultural studies and translation studies. Authored an Introduction to African-American Travel Literature in 2013, edited several volumes on travel and intercultural communication and published articles with a focus on travel writing. Former member of the Romanian Studies Department, Hankuk University for Foreign Studies, Republic of Korea. Also runs translations agency AVOB Srl providing translation services for European institutions.
