I am a junior lecturer and a PhD student at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași, interested, among other things, in interdisciplinarity, feminism, science fiction, artificial languages, and video games. My research is focused on the way in which languages, natural and artificial, may influence or change social behaviors and specifically, how this idea is reflected in works of science fiction, used as literary laboratories by their authors. I taught English as a second language at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy and currently teach conversations and texts practicum to students of English in the Faculty of Letters. I am a feminist, especially passionate about science fiction women writers. I am also an avid fan of videogames and seek to uncover their academic value as texts carrying cultural and social meaning beyond their entertainment value.
